Love the concept, don't like that the shot is split in half, light/dark. lhall

Cool effect - I can't wait to hear more about how you did this shot. I wish it was more obvious whether this was a black cat or not though. I'm not really clear on the purpose of the bottom surface (skin?) - road maybe? shedonist

Lol...terrific! Funny thing is I didn't see it right away...good job! I bet that cat is a sweetie anyway. Good, simple, uncluttered composition, good choice in B & W. Good luck in the challenge. Grayce

excellent shot. best so far. dramatic and minimalist. helps that the eye is so well defined. mag99

wow. very abstract and scary :) although i would have cropped off some of the bottom to give emphasis on the eye

I'd like to see this one in person. I need to play with it some. Not real sure what you have, but I bet there is a lot of potential for this picture. As it is I can't give it more than 4 because there is nothing here.

I really like this shot because it's not just another picture of a black cat...very interesting cropping and fun composition.

You have the best cat pic here! A really great shot! My only 10 this week! Keep it up!

I like how you're only showing the eye, but I think a little more black space at the top would've helped. Feels a little 'half and half' to me.

I would like to be able to see more of the cat here

Great. Good in B&W. Bit more contrast needed. Nice twist to see something else in the photo besides the cat. Most people forget things like that.

I'm not sure why you chose to cut this photo in half, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. While it does show off the eye, it detracts from the creepyness you've kind of set up in the title, and its quite blurry. 7 - Konador.

I liked this shot, good job! I can imagine how difficult it was to get the cat staying still so close to it.

Evil looking eye! Great job! My only complaint is that there should be more of the cat, less of the surface. 9/10

Very nice!

This is a well taken photo. I'm not sure I like the composition. If the focus was just on the eye why use the foreground "cover" to hide the rest of the cat. It looks dark enough where if the background were dark, we wouldn't be able to see him anyway. The negative space in the shot would be accenting the eye much more than the distracting table or whatever it is. IMO - Inspzil
