 Both my 30Ds and my 70-200 2.8 were in the shop (canon) for the annual pre-show season tune-up. Murphy insisted that this particular challenge had to come up while they were gone of course, AND while I had a rare chance to photograph Gypsy cobs at liberty. (They are all back now, but I sure missed them this week)

convert from RAW, lots of dodging and burning, light gaussian blur on a layer, USM too of course, convert to sepia, all in PS.

when i saw this in the challenge i was enthralled by the beauty of this horse .. the lighting shows gypsy to perfection .. congrats on such a stunning shot and a great place in the challenge .. :)

The lighting in this scene is amazing. I love how it highlights the mane and legs. This looks almost like some kind of fairy tale dream sequence.

Remembering times many years ago. A friend had a couple of these when I was growing up. Big, graceful animals. We used to take the cart out with them pulling it along the road..............good times
