I will echo everyone's sentiments on this. It most certainly captures the spirit of the challenge. Just a pity we can only view it at this size here. |

Delicious evening light and fabulous motion blur--it was delightful to read your comments, and it was certainly under-rated. |

Hey Mae, yours and glad2badad's captured what I think is the essence of the challenge. Your other horse shot is better than this one(IMO), but this is good in its own right. Thought this may have been judi's entry.

There were some great shots in this challenge, but this one was by far my favorite shot of the bunch. This is an amazing capture on so many levels. The combination of just the right amount of motion and clarity within a single capture is very difficult to achieve. Being able to apply the technique perfectly to the ideal subject makes for a remarkable work of art.
Its no secret that blur images dont seem to score as well with the DPC voters, but I have to admit; I am shocked to see where this one finish.
You have a real talent in your execution of motion blur Mae.
Kudos on you for a very awesome entry.

Wow! I love this photo. I didn't vote in this challenge, but this would have been one of my top picks. Blur doesn't seem to do well here, but think you should have placed much higher. Beautiful!! |

I love how the motion makes it milky. Reminds me of Manet. 9 |

Love it! Not least because of the anonymity of the rider, under his huge hat. Also, loving the ghosted legs, "scratched" sky and lovely lines of detail in mane and tail. Magic! |

Very nice use of blur! You've captured the grace and the power well. The blues compliment this very nicely! |

Abstract in it's execution, there are two ways to view this image - negatively in the sense of detail and over done action. On the other hand, it's very abstract nature is indicative of motion and the colors and motion blur give it a certain feel, as it related to the challenge subject, that is a plus. In this kind of quandry, and given this reviewer's propensity to positively rate abstract images, the benefit of the doubt goes to the author. The blend of color and background are complimentary which is an artistic plus and can be viewed as a technical plus. Not necessarily to everyone's taste, this might break into the top twenty and possibly the top fifteen images if the commenters and reviewers give it chance by understanding the nature of impressionist imagery. |

Too much blurr, even though I know you were trying to capture movement. |

Great great technique. A red border is not quite doing it. Blue would have been better. Bur great great stuff. |
