I like how the shadow of the glass leads to the salt, the salt to the shaker.Good choice of color. Fantastic composition.

Not very original.

I believe there is more to this than meets the eye. The "wooden " salt shaker(which I don't think is a salt shaker at all, just a solid piece of wood painted to look like one); the blue table top with terrible paint streaks(A very obvious lousy paint job); spilt salt that doesn't look like table salt at all; and what looks like a cocktail glass with a white ball under the base with a strong shadow of the stem. Photo
wise (quality) it is at least a 6 but I'm not sure at all about anything else. Don't feel I can give more than a 5 total. But then that is a good score. Doesn't take much more to be #1.

If only the salt appeared whiter.

As far as spilt salt goes, this is my fave. I like the shapes, textures and the fact that it's on a believable surface for the event.

Those look like some large grains of salt. Maybe it's just the perspective, or the region from whence you come. - Inspzil

Cool photo...although I'm not really sure how the cup fits in, aside from taking up space.

very modern i like it, the only thing i would've tried to fix is the glare at the base of the glass. great job!

I see what you were doing here. It's over-all very nice. I think the salt would of looked better in focus....giving the color a bump to white. That table/shadow/light is wonderful. Justine 7

I like the detail here, wish it were as strong on the bottom of the frame. The top of the frame looks good out of focus, but the bottom........

of the seven or eight salt macro shots i've seen, this is the best so far. who knew salt was so popular.

very nice, I like that you can see the individual grains. often a a shiny surface looks bad but the reflection on this works well.
