Went out for a photowalk just the other day and Philadelphia came alive with buds, blooms, and people looking to get close. I was able to grab this one and framed up the happy couple with the wonderful flowers right in front of me.

Thank you to everyone who commented on this photo. It happened that I had taken this photo the same week of the challenge, so I thought I'd see where I ended up by submitting it. I think a couple folks didn't make the connection that I reversed the DOF on purpose :--) JimiRose, you got the point of this, and thanks again to everyone for their comments! I'll look forward to being an active participant in the community!

Great DOF and overall nice composition.

The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries visual impact. Technically, it's not well focused and the distance involved, including the dark subjects, is not a good choice. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact just lacking that something special to make it stand out.

Great idea, I like the inversion of the subject/ foreground DOF, makes it more interesting than your average shot like this. I would have preferred this shot to have the couple in the top right third of the composition to remove some of the superfluous background detail and place more emphasis on the flower- foreground.

this is beautiful but,in my opinion, the focus would have to be on the people to really call this a great candid. Love the flowers and the oof background. You caught a perfect day.
