 Arrgh I didn't realise I left the camera on auto ISO until now. ISO 800 and still reasonable noise quality is testament to the D700...and my stupidity!

This is not the most original idea i have to admit, but i could not find a builder willing to let me photograph him with a red thong showing above his jeans! I did try honest. So I had to go with a tribute/variation of a shot seen on DPC recently that got DQ'ed

The set up on this one was pretty simple. I taped the 3 wine glasses to our wooden chopping board. The first glass contains orange juice,with the second and third filled with green and red washing up liquid. One end of the chopping board was tilted to create the angle. I then carefully spooned out some of the liquid to get a straight line running across all three glasses. This was the hardest bit as i did not want to smear the clean glass. The glasses were straightened to upright in editing....job done. No jello or no ice was needed although I guess it could work too.

The set up was done in a light tent with 1 light from above. I wanted to even the light out with a second strobe. However, even with 1 strobe was on minimum power the f/stop kept creeping up. Arrrrggg. I had auto ISO on and did not realise my school boy error until it was too late.

Nice concept but the glass on the left has too much "stuff" around the edge of the jello, would it have been possible to clean that up a bit?
