I love the artistry and creativeness of this image, and it has stayed with me even after the challenge ended. ...so I came by to see where it ended up. I expected it to have finished much higher. I just love the sculptures and composition. Great image and I think you were robbed! |

"Hue/sat and photo filter to make the sea blue." WTF??? Ok this ruined it for me. Too lazy to die the freak'n paper? Have you even looked at your camera's manual? You do know there's a white balance button, right? Perhaps if you put in some effort you would have scored at least a 5.0.

The twisted, agonizing sculpture alone is worth a 10. Placing the 3-dimensional man on the 2-dimensional graph paper increases the appeal. It makes me wonder if he realizes he is drowning. Maybe he is symbolic of the primitive condition of man and his limited knowledge of other dimensions. You have used the 3-dimensional creatures, entering the second dimension (or vice-versa), to cleverly tie the whole universe together. Wonderful creation.

Very creative. Love the work you put into this. But I feel the lighting is fighting the image, overblown. |

As a fan of abstract concepts, this is a perfectly executed image and exactly matches the title. A wonderful image, it evokes the fear of drowning, a primal human fear, in a provocative way. If there is any justice in the world, this will win top prize. Well done. |
