 I debated on submitting this as I'm not sure how a pet is going to do in a candid challenge, but I like it and consider it a candid. Hopefully a few others will too.

We occasionally let our cat outside when the weather gets nicer and we are spending more time outdoors. He loves it and rarely wanders off too far. This was taken about 30 seconds after he outside for the first time this spring.

I can't say I'm surprised by the score, but I was hoping that this might score a 5. With my score so low, I was happily surprised to see the 9s and 10. I am curious if the low score is due to this being a pet in candid challenge or if it is missing something technically?

I'm having trouble with three things in this challenge: sports, performance, and pets. I question their meeting the challenge criteria. But what the hell -- this is a damn good picture of a cat.

While a candid moment there is nothing to recommend the image from a technical or artistic standpoint - it lacks any impact or context other than being a snapsoht of a cat. The author might have done better to include more background or perhaps activity to give the impact some pop and context.
