Thanks for the feedback everyone. I need to learn how to control the technical aspects of my camera. I always seem to ruin my photo when I have to resize it to meet the entry requirements of the site. This pic was crisp in the original, but way too big. I had the same problem with another one of my entries. Then, when I resize, they become grainy and distorted. I did try something very different here from my usual. It didn't pay off for me score-wise, but that is what it takes to learn. Plus, as delin so kindly pointed out to me, at least I have a ribbon now! lol, thanks, Dave!!! |

I suspect the reason you have the fuzziness is too tight a crop on too few megapixels. It also looks like you have noise control issues, which are often present in low light, high ISO situations. |

Even the top half looks a little grainy. |

Looks a little too blurred and grainy. Can't really tell if it is suspended or resting on the white band. |

A technical success, it's less than successful in an artistic sense. DOF control is on the edge of being good and the lighting isn't over done creating blooms. The subject is less than interesting. Perhaps a different background with a slightly different angle would have helped. A little more thought and better framing would have brought the rating higher. |

This image does not 'pop' as I would expect it to. It's a fun composition and idea... it just lacks excitement, I think. |
