 After getting frustrated over not getting the photo I wanted to enter right and sharp, I just turned on the Christmas lights that are still hanging in my bedroom and took an out of hand shot (resting my camera on a stack of papers) while sitting at my computer.
I must say the outcome surprised me enough to enter, though it could have been better and I don't think it will score very high.

More a image of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself.

Actually I was thinking just the opposite. Sorry! But it was good that you are able to use Christmas lights as yourlight source.
