 Great timing! My son wanted to see Thomas The Tank Engine, who was making a guest appearance at the local railway center. I didn't know it existed!

Got home to process pics and found I had loads of dull snapshots of old trains......Plus Thomas with the Fat Controller!

Ohh well, this is the best I could muster. A fiddle with the sliders in CS4 Raw. Open in CS4, Black and white conversion using red channel, levels, curves, noise, sharpen, noise again, resize, border, save for web.

Excellant conversion to black and white - the highlights are just on the edge of being excessive. Lots of details, good angle which could have been a little higher, but it fine as it is. The author took time to do the best job in difficult lighting. Unfortunately, the author submitted to the temptation to oversharpen the image either in the camera or post processing which is a major issue and flaw with this image. This could have been a top ten entry and a possible ribbon contender if that temptation could have been resisted.

Great textures in this, so smooth, great tones as well. It's an interesting POV/angle and it's easy to tell what the subject is even though it's a small crop.
