 The Image: I am going to guess there will be plenty of these type of images. I am hoping mine will live up to its title. It was a simple shot...daylight from the doorway, black matte board, pencils in a glass, hand held image...

The Edit: I used NikSoftware to give it a colour treatment, layer adjustments and masks for the blur and vignetting (multiply) some sharpening and Noise Ninja, desaturated the white pencil as it had reflection and colour on it...that's about it.

The Prediction: Maybe 6.1 or 6.2???

your colors are pleasing and complimentary to each other...nothing seems to be fighting in tones

Picture looks sharp and the way you've setup your subject is superb. The background with the lighter bit surrounding the pencils works really well too

A solid entry into the challenge demonstrating a good thought process from a composition standpoint. Little technical issues mar an otherwise sound effort in both composition and it's effect.
