 I was walking at sunset, a romantic stroll with my boyfriend and just as we were heading home, we spotted this hot air balloon rising up in the sky. It appears near where I live at random, all throughout the year. I waited until it was more or less right above me and snapped this.


Edit: Crop, increased colour hues, brightness/contrast using levels, denoise, resize and sharpen.

A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an interesting image and a unique viewpoint although the slightly off center basket on the baloon is a little distracting and has minor negative impact on the image. A good entry into the challenge.
