| Cute little guy isn't he. Great colors and dof. Love the point of focus too. He has some interesting textures going on for sure and the composition keeps me within the photo and not wandering around a sea of texture with nowhere to rest. Nice job. |

| he's loaded with texture. this is really a great portrait of a hermit crab. reminds me of my days selling them on the boardwalk, don't forget to wet the sponge! :P |

| Good DOF control although it might have been bettere to back off the shot just a little to get more detail. The background doens't necessarily add anything to the image, but it works efficiently. A good entry into the challenge. |

| I love these guys! Very cute. Wondering if you shot him on something other than the wood (similar color to his shell), if he would have stood out more. |

I think your lighting is a bit harsh.
My entry has the same problem, and I tried to convince myself that it's a "textures" challenge, and that the hard light accentuated the purpose of my photo. I'm not so convinced anymore, heh.
The colors of yours are pretty sweet, and your focus is spot on. |
