| I know this is a hard capture to get and maybe that's why it doesn't work for me. It's not as sharp as you'd want it also seems like the challenge is not being met. If the birds are the texture, they aren't taking enough of the frame up. It feels more like you tried meeting the challenge with a shot you liked versus finding a photo that met the challenge. |

| sorry cannot see much texture even though I know it's there. Difficult to get great shots of birds in flight , good try but only a 3 from me. |

| Perhaps the author intended something unusual which is not being properly addressed in this composition. It is so out of the norm that normal would seem to be outrageous. Given the subject matter of the challenge, this just doesn't make sense. |

The background tree is a bit distracting and it seems as if this is a bit of a zoom on a larger image to me.
Overall a nice capture but a bit of a shoehorn for Texture IMO |

| Although the backlit feathers provide a bit of texture it doesn't appear to me as an image about texture. Maybe it's just me. It's more about the birds in flight which might have worked well for the fauna challenge. It is a nice capture though. |

| I'm not sure if I can see why you chose this shot for textures - its lovely and the shapes are beautiful, but it doesn't really sit in the texture zone for me |

| While I think that this is a great shot, I don't think it meets the challenge all that well. Yes, there's some texture in the birds' wings, but it's rather subtle and not a focal point of the image. |
