You know sometimes I don't get some members in this place! This portrait is full of textures! Can they not see that?? Everything in it but the background is textured. God forbid we go a bit below the surface as far as meaning and creativity.
After saying all that, I'll still hang around here for some reason anyway and one of those reasons is your photographs. They are full of love and life.
I wonder what you do with B&W to get them so crisp and fine.

If it weren't in the texture challenge I wouldn't see this as a texture photo. It is a nice portrait though!!

Crisp and sharp, this entry doesn't quite meet the challenge, but the author's intent was clear. A good portrait and the curly nature of the hair complies with the subject matter, unfortunately a little too dense and lacking in interest.

in comparison (and we all do that) to some of the other shots...this lacks the "pop" or "wow" factor...sorry...
