Good subject. From a subjective point of view, I wish it was sharper, and perhaps toned down a smidge. 5

I am not sure what it is about this picture, but the concept and close up idea are fantastic! Perhaps diff. lighting or maybe a portrait or macro mode?
I hope to see something like this again!

The color seems a little 'off' to me. Diffused lighting might have alleviated the blown out portions.

Colorful and I like the way you filled the frame.

that is incredible close up of a strawberry! almost takes away some of the texture we take for granted with this fruit. Lighting is a bit harsh

great idea, the lighting is a little bit harsh though.

The author had a great idea and concept. Unfortunately, the image falls short of the overall idea as the image isn't clean with an odd DOF. It might have helped to back off in focal length to capture more area, then crop out the sharpest area for presentation. The lighting didn't help either producing unattractive light blooms.

very cool closeup. i'd like it with a little more contrast maybe, but well done

this is a good macro...but you need sharper focus

At this distance I would have liked to see everything in focus. Now, I find myself hunting for the focal point to rest my eyes. Good idea, though!
