This is a picture of marbles running down a grey sheet of paper. My wife pointed out that the picture looks a lot like har and you can kind of make out a neck.

Post Challenge: Funny that some people commented that there is no motion and/or its not abstract. Many people believed this was hair running over a shoulder. Here is the original. It is actually marbles running down a sheet of paper.

I think this is quite an achievement - to take a shot of something and have it appear as something entirely other. Great work!

I dont think others will ever come back, but i could be wrong. I have only entered a handful of challenges and each time i realize more and more that the voting system is great and all, but what it comes down to is if you are happy with your photo. In this case I was.

I think this is really great, I wonder if those who thought there was no motion ever come back and see if there assumptions were correct.

I love the compostion and feel of this. To me, it does not really show motion

I just don't think this is much of an abstract composition.

Interesting shot. I really like the purple and the fact that you didn't saturate it too much.

Intriguing shot... which is what abstract is supposed to do... get you thinking. This definitely does that. Looks like hair, and the nape of a neck in the top left, but it could also bee flowing water processed beyond recognition. In reality, I am probably wrong with both. Thanks for the thought provoking image.

Okay that explains why there's no marbles in the picture. But I do like the hair and the coloring and the abstract values

Great effect. After looking twice I still think it looks like the hair of a girl running down her neck and onto her chest. Maybe I should just find my glasses!
