I really like this picture =`) Great shot. The cats ears are in that "aerodynamic" position, and like one person said perfectly in the shade of the tree. Nice timing!

nice cat--i will usually turn my head or body or say the cat had white on him.

Good clear beautiful landscape photo. Love the colors of the leaves and the country side. But would have liked a little closer to the cat. Funny how he was right in the middle of the shade. I think that adds to it, intentional or not. Good stong 7.

Good job! Funny how the cat also just happens to be in a shadow! Adds to the "dark" nature of the subject. Good diagonal lines, good exposure, and overall good composition. Good luck! Grayce aka Gracious :-)

How long did you have to sit and wait for the cat to run across the road? :-) karmat

scaring thing is I percieved this shot when I thought of a black cat crossing the road, same angle and everything, no kidding, even the fence part.

especially if an 18 wheeler is heading their way, screech, miaow, splat.

good pic

But not if he stays to the shadows... For a black cat that's sorta like not steppin on the cracks.

a lot of effort went into shooting this, i'm sure, but it's still not very captivating.

Cool. The cat looks completely pitch black. is this a cut out? Great job. Just being picky: I think I would like to have seen more cropping. 8 Jacko.

Good DOF. I like how the cat is walking in the shadow.

The shadow cast across the road in the cat's path was a nice touch. - Inspzil

The cat being hit by a 40K kg truck would have made this picture so much more powerful. :-))))))
Too bad that it crosses the road in the shadow, nice frame.
