Zeuszen's comment below makes sense to me from the technical point of view, but the composition is sooooo perfect that I have to add this to my favorites now. Just think, it's over two years since you took this picture and I have just now discovered it thanks to the "Favorite all time dpc photo" thread in the forums. Xion posted your shot. And I'm happy he did. |

Not exactly a technical tour-de-force (the exposure is beginning to wash out the sky and unable to render tones in the brightest margins/the horizon has a slight counter-clockwise tilt/the crop/framing is tight enough above the woman's head to distract from her grand and solitary splendour), but what a hilarious and surreal capture!
Although the casual, snap-shot manner contributes some charm to this image, a slight corrective rotation is, IMHO, needed to make it credible.
The shot is and remains priceless!

Nice! This is the kind of picture that I probably would not hang on my wall, but which I could see in a museum, or which could inspire a painting...it's different, and it not only fits the challenge, but it gives a unique feeling of its own. I would probably have increased the contrast a bit more, but other than that, a 10. |

Shallower DOF and this could really take off. |

I don't know exactly how this fits the challenge - but I absolutely LOVE this photo. It is my top pick. |

You captured a terrific moment, and I suppose walking the dog can be considered a habit. So an 8 for you. |

A refreshing entry among the "ugly" submissions. This is very well done. |

Is dog walking the habit? A bit shaky on the theme to me. The woman is blurry, which is a problem as a primary subject, and the dog seems to blend in to the background too well. These two issues really undermine the strength of the subjects. |

This is an absolutely classic picture. Good composition. Nice wide-angle. About everything is right. 10 |

Very nice tones, but what is the habit? |

This would have been a funny perspective shot with the camera right up next to the dog! Is the dog trying to get away? Is he afraid he's supper?
Good photo |

Nice photo. Not getting the habit here, I guess titles do make a difference :( I really like the setup though - very sharp with good blacks and whites. 7 |
