 These sconces line my stairwell at work.

In Camera B/W, Flourescent W/B, pMode, metering mode = pattern, No Flash, No Exposure Comp.

Held camera flat on the wall paralell with the steps going up about a 45 degree angle. Hence the unusual viewpoint.

Didn't have to rotate as this is how the camera saw it.

Removed (2) small distracting ceiling lights using clone tool.
Adjusted mids about 2 steps lighter.
Unsharp Mask.
.4 Gaussian blur to whole picture to remove some of the jaggies after downsizing.

nice shot. very interesting; if it was crisper, not sharper but crisper at the begining, i would say it was vastly underated.

now this is clever. i like this very much - the way you've warped the impression of scale is particularly impressive - these look for all the world like two modern life-size slightly sci-fi buildings (i know they're wall-mounted luminaires). monochrome works well, and the whole illusion is striking. even the far wall looks like sky. this should at least be top ten, if not a ribbon contender. easy 10.

Definitely not somewhere you'd look every day. Nice job of exposure - crisp white, deep blacks and good tonal range in between. Subject is very interesting - the reflections from the point radiating out to the edge adds a lot of interest. Not at all thrilled with your cutsey border.

the border is a little overworked...especially for a subject so clean and contemporary.
