So close! I really like the composition, a bit wacky and carefree, as birthday party should be. That foreground candle really should be in focus IMO. I don't know if you can choose where the camera focuses with a powershot, but it's just behind the front candle. Also, more DOF would really help capture that front portion of the cake. f/2.6 obviously produced a very tight DOF. The BW was a great choice in my opinion.

Maybe a little faster shutter speed to really capture the flames. The slight Slant is a little distracting. |

Nice subject and idea. Good sharpness in the middle of the cake, but wish the entire front candle was in focus. |
