 Woohoo! This is my first time in the Top 10% of a Free Study type challenge, and this was a big one so it's even more special.

My sister and I were on a fitness trail near where she lives and I begged her to bring my camera. She agreed, but during our trek she was getting a little bit impatient with the interruptions, especially when two older ladies who were power-walking passed us on the trail. :)

Later, when we got back to her house and she saw what I shot she gave me what is perhaps the most meaningful comment I've ever received, which went something like: "You know, I take that trail all the time and I've never realized how beautiful it really was until I saw so in your pictures."

Many thanks for all the comments, faves, and wishlist - this was a really fun challenge for me.

usually i don't care for these type of entries because they are usually very forced. this, on the other hand, is one of those rare exceptions where all the elements come together. very nicely done.

this looks like one of those gorgeous inspirational posters they have in school counciler offices. lol. the colors are gorgeous, everything is perfect. since i know it doesnt say the persons name when they check the wishlist box, ill just tell you right now im the one checking it:)

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1116 images, I gave 97 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 97, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.

I know it's a cop out comment... but the colours in this shot are awesome :-) I actually love the symmetry in this picture, even though it's only an illusion. A fantastic setting, expertly recorded.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

This is a gem WITH a diamond! Great center element of the leaning treas and the fallen log. Great reflection and colors. I think the colors are a bit oversaturated and thus reduce the incredible detail of the leaves.
