| frickin' ridiculous. This photograph is so unreal, and is an example of why digital photography technology pushes the boundaries of what we can do as artists. I cannot believe how sharp this is, and the colors are so earthy and warm. I think your title is a bit goofy though, I'm wondering why you chose it... Otherwise, my favorite so far although I'm only 54 in! Its a 9 now, but I'll probably be back to bump it to 10. Something is going to have to be really killer to be better than this. |

| Considering how difficult it is to get a good shot of one of these flying, I'd say it is indeed a gem. Iridescence just doesn't capture well with still shots. |

| Voted earlier leaving comments now. What a stunningly beautiful amount of detail on the body of this hummingbird!!! Love the colors and fine textures in the feathers that we can see of this small bird. The wings are blurred but that gives off a wonderful sense of motion and, in a way, coupled with the blurred bokeh background a wonderful 3D effect. The body of the hummingbird just pops off the page. This tiny fast moving bird seems to be zooming towards us. Great job in capturing this beauty! |

| The only thing holding me back from giving you a 10 is the title and I feel a little noise reduction or not sharpening the bokeh could have earned you that last point. |

| Great capture. The head/throat looks a bit oversharpened to me, but still a shot to be very, proud of. Also, I like how the background "matches" the bird. It gives the shot a sense of sophistication and elegance. |

| I can't say I really understand your title (EDIT - the second part that is) but as far as the image is concerned I think it is simply amazing. The colours, focus, background, movement and composition are all first class. Well done and all the best for the challenge. |

| i love the background color it really bring out the red in its neck. additionally i love the blur incorporated in the photo it really gives me the feeling that its such a fleeting moment. one of 2 10's i gave in this challenge. AMAZING job |
