This is more like a scary movie poster, I can almost hear the spooky music and see someone getting ready to go outside to get eaten. Cool shot. |

I really like the colors in this, it's strange how we can see your lens in the shot, I can see it say zoom I think? How did that happen? |

Oh you've got to be kidding me, look at the size of that thing! LOL, surely it's not real? Fantastic shot, great colour and clarity considering it's through glass. You want to know what makes it funny cool? The reflection of your lens in the window letting me know you're safely tucked away inside. Chicken... ;P - bumping |

Hello, Friend. That's a mighty fine deck you got there. |

Wow! That looks like the main character in some B horror movie, absolutely wonderful detail! Funny how you can see the reflection of the zoom lens text :-) |

Holy Crap!!
Either a small New Jersey mosquito or that's one heck of a lens... 7 |

hahaha, just like it is from a cartoon... It is a fun picture but the reflection of the lens brings it a little bit down, good catch. |

focus issues and the lens reflection in the window |
03/15/2009 08:16:41 AM |
Haha, it just came up to the window? That's great, excellent capture, the reflection of the lens shows that the window is there, so I like it. |

Not the best insect photo but still not an easy shot to take. I am distracting but something in the background that appears to say "zoom lens" |

Really cool bug - great capture, wish the focus could have been better. |

03/14/2009 05:22:41 AM |
Outstanding perspective! Really a fun shot and love the warm colors. |
03/14/2009 04:43:17 AM |
That is an amazing pic of a mosquito. I think? Alternate title: Knock Knock, anybody home?
LOVE the colors. Really, really glad I didn't enter my fly pic for this challenge now :)
instant fave and I say Hel10 to you too. :)
Funny thing, I saw a fly with almost the exact same face yesterday, so I'm not all that confident that this actually is a mosquito. Either way.... |

This one really makes me laugh - well spotted, love it :) |
03/13/2009 01:03:57 AM |
What's that text on the left top corner? You took this thru a glass or something? |
03/12/2009 09:29:10 PM |
Looks like he is trying to get out. Good use of yellow tones. |
03/12/2009 06:13:27 PM |
Is it knocking on your window???? That's one heck of a bug macro! |
03/12/2009 04:48:05 PM |
really cool and closer than i ever want to see one of these. It could use a little shadow/highlight adjustment to brighten the bug, and a slight color adjustment to cool the yellow tones. "Zoom Lens" is visible in the background - a reflection - but no matter; it can be cloned out. 6 |

03/12/2009 03:59:18 PM |
Oh... My... GOD...! Can't wait to hear how you managed this. I'm assuming this is a Robber Fly, btw? You're in my high-seeded group prior to the bumping round, incidentally. |

Great catch! I'm glad they are not this big. |
03/12/2009 05:37:17 AM |
focus is a little soft on the bug, there is a lens markings reflection in the window, but great capture nonetheless, and the angle makes the bug look huge. i would be staying indoors as well :) |
03/12/2009 02:31:55 AM |
U should clone out the reflection from the zoom lense |

hi to you too.. I have some mortien for your tonight.. |
03/11/2009 04:32:04 PM |
you can see the reflection of your lens in the glass...I'm thinking you want to keep this bugger out...hmmm |
03/11/2009 03:07:18 PM |
Pity about the sharpness, otherwise a great capture. |
03/11/2009 09:32:30 AM |
Nice capture, such a shame about the reflection of the lens in the window which will certainly cost you votes. Good luck for the rest of the challenge. |

I think I recognize him. He came around my place the other day selling magazine subscriptions.
Great focus for a bug outside the windowsill, and a unique pose. |

Looks like someone I know! Great capture. |
03/11/2009 07:12:04 AM |
The diversity of life on this planet we call home really amazes me. Great capture. He really does look like he's giving a salutation with that leg up there like that. I'm sure some won't, but I actually like that I can see the reflection of the lens on the left side there. The only thing I don't like is that the yellow is pretty overpowering. |

Awesome close up. It's interesting that I can see your lens in the reflection. |

Don't let her in!!! Perspective puts me in mind of a horror film with giant mutant bugs ==:-O |

Not my friend! hahah. I dont like the background or the reflections but the bug is nice! |

Wow- this is really disconcerting - it's like he's trying to break in through the window! I hope he's not as big as he looks! |
