 It's too bad that detail is lost in resizing. This looks terrific "poster size."

If I had time to do this over, I'd try to make the red bow less overpowering and perhaps try to find a more even tone in the color of the stones, which now seem to hover between blue and brown.

Anyway, rather a cold photo and not necessarily "representative" of my work, but one that some people have responded to positively.

Post-processing: too many things to remember, but all legal. :-)

Nice close crop of the St. Pattie's doorway; I hate when I lose detail, did you crop this? maybe thats why.

I didn't think there was any desat, or at least not too much. I think it's a great photo. I think if you toned down the red you would find that THEN, you had a cold photo. The red adds life to the stone cold structure. I think it's a very interesting contrast you captured here. Beautiful shot of detail and symmetry - and yes, this seems a little different for you. Great job! :)

Beautifully framed. Sort of the inverse of stained glass, that wreath...

Coming back, I'm actually in love with it, the sheer incongruity of it. And technically it's just exceptionally well done in an understated way. Myself, I'd probably have tone mapped it up to cartoonishness, and suffered for it. Bumping to 8.

I love the detail you've captured here. Lighting around churches and cathedrals is often not up to this kind of contrast and shadow. Well done.

I like how the architectural parts stand out very clear and sharp. The picture seems to get less sharp towards the bottom (the lettering, and also the wreath somewhat). The contrast between the colourful wreath and the blue/gray tones of the building is startling.
