PostLuminous Award WINNER!
Per my earlier comment:
Brett Weston would be proud, or jealous. If anyone ever asks why would somebody do black and white instead of color, you just show them this. If they still don't get it, never speak to them again about photography.... :-) 10

The light is quite magical. I would try editing out that thick shadow running down the middle. The long stem on the left could work as a cloning source for that. If you fixed that it would be absolutely perfect, however it's still very good as is. Good luck. |

i love the background bokeh and the see through details in the large leaves. i would just suggest to try a tighter crop at the bottom, the bottom is a bit heavy. i like your choice to put in bw! |

That's a really nice perspective. I like the bokeh in the background, I like the detail in the leaf veins. It's like I've been shrunk and placed in the garden, well done. |

I like the feeling of security under the canopy. The veins in the leaves are neat and it seems like there are two different light sources, reflecting through some leaves and on this side of the corner leaf. The only thing is that I don't notice that right away. My eye is first drawn to the brightness through the canopy. I would like to see more of the leaf undersides as the focus. Not sure if angle or crop could do that, but I think that would be a little less busy. |

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. I love the angle in which you shot this. The low angle looking up from under this plant canopy gives the impression to the viewer that we are small such that we look up to these towering structures of plants. The black and white choice in composition presentation was wise for I really get to see all the lovely detail of texture, shapes and patterns. I also love the lighting that illuminates the top foreground leaves beautifully but also give a wonderful sparkle of light shimmers with the bokeh in the backdrop. |

This is a very comforting image somehow. I wish I were a little critter crawling through those plants. If I were a little critter I'd crawl towards that sun light and sun myself on a rock. That would be the life... |
