| This is a marvelous image! I'm surprised that no one else mentioned that it's reversed left to right, like a mirror image. The last total lunar eclipse that we could see here was Feb 20 08, but my shots didn't come anywhere close to this. |

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... this was one of the few images I scored a 10. One of my criteria for scoring a 10 is "Would I have this photo on my wall?" and for this one, I surely would.
Lunar photography generally looks incredible when done well, and this is no exception. This photo would have pride of place in any observatory or planetarium. It's got to be in line for a ribbon! |

| Sweet. I saw the red moon last year, but my 300mm lens was nowhere near enough to get this kind of a detailed shot of it. I do have to say that moon shots are something where the equipment makes a huge difference. |

| Voted earlier coming back to comment now. There is such FABULOUS detail seen in this moon photo! Craters, gouges, and such... The red color almost makes me think of Mars - but I have seen pictures and blood red/reddish moons before. Harvest Moon? I like that you did not do a close crop such that all we see is the moon for the black backdrop of space and the stars really complement the photo. |

| I really like your image. Full moons are usually so flat looking. I love the red from the earth's shadow, and the softer light really makes it leap from the page. I would love to see the details of the equipment used for this image. Very nice work. |
