I'm always impressed by an image containing a subject that I otherwise wouldn't care for and in this case that's sports images generally. I have to say though, this one is excellent.

This is a great closeup and terrific action shot! Generally I don't care for partial desats but this one looks good to me. Bumping this up!

Great sports shot. Not sure if this is staged or captured but either way it is one of the best sports shots I've seen in awhile.

I'm not a fan of selective desaturation and I am wondering why you chose to use it here. But I do like the composition with the head cut off, it makes us focus on the stength of the arm carrying the ball.

I think the selective saturation works here. It has a graphic commercial feel to it like a poster. I might've desaturated all of the green in the number and hint of it on the sleeve of the shirt.

Fantastic crop/capture. I personally don't like the over saturated football or the color of the number on the jersey.

I am a big football fan and I like this shot. however the red seems a little oversaturated. A subtle red would have been in order here also the green in the numbers is not appealing.IMO

Selective desat really works in this.

great use of part desat - well done

Nice tight crop action shot. Football seems to be a bit red vs. brown, but the red in the pants and shirt are very nice.

I don't like the selective desat on this at all. However, I think the image itself, beyond that, is excellent. the focus, dof, and composition are outstanding. 8 bumped to 9

this is very well done, great choice in the selective desat, i might have let the numbers on the jersey desat as well, they seem a tad green.

Typically, I don't like selective desat, but in this shot, it seems fairly effective. it is a very good capture, and really gives the essence of the game. The noise in the number on the jersey is a bit off-putting as it has a greenish cast to it.

Nike ad? Hehe. Good composition and selective desat. It really does remind me of an ad (crop and comp = Nike; selective desat and colors = Gatorade)
