Absolutely remarkable. It's a great subject in itself, but the execution is excellent as well. Sometimes great subjects are ruined by the execution. Not here.

Wow the house looks so small in comparison to the world.
03/17/2009 12:08:27 PM
I love the contrast here between the tiny lonely home and the massive mountain.
03/17/2009 09:13:56 AM
I like the size comparison. I wouldn't mind living there
03/17/2009 08:10:12 AM
Lovely scene. Looks like it could be in South Africa somewhere.
03/16/2009 05:07:03 PM
That's home? Cool. Fanatastic view, but the internet bandwidth probably stinks.
03/16/2009 11:22:46 AM
Wow, that mountain makes that house seem so minuscule by comparison. Really neat shot.
03/16/2009 08:17:16 AM

Home looks so insignificant against that majestic backdrop hich is of course the intention of your image, so it works, well done
03/16/2009 12:30:16 AM
Awesome capture and presentation. Gorgeous. Iceland?
03/16/2009 12:07:18 AM
nice shot
03/15/2009 08:29:08 PM
Watch out for rolling stones! Nice capture.
03/15/2009 08:04:20 PM
What a contrast in size. Huge mountain, and little home.
03/15/2009 07:04:32 PM
Can you imagine living there? Must be amazing.
03/15/2009 04:38:42 PM
Great composition
03/15/2009 02:33:36 PM
This reminds me of my favourite spot on my favourite scottish island. There is a white house at the base of the mountains there with a red tin roof and it just looks in the middle of nowehere like the one in your shot...only 3 months to go till I'm next there!
03/15/2009 01:06:51 PM
It sure gives a sense of scale! The mountainside looks enormous and the home so tiny. Beautifully seen.
03/15/2009 10:58:58 AM
The scope of this really makes the house look minuscule. Well composed.
03/15/2009 06:11:42 AM
really gives the viewer a sense of scale for this scene
03/15/2009 03:11:04 AM
Wonderful contrast of size and shape. Well done.
03/15/2009 01:48:39 AM

03/14/2009 08:46:48 PM
Looks lonely and wonderful.
03/14/2009 06:52:57 PM
What a huge mountain. Very good composition, good photo.
03/14/2009 06:07:11 PM
Tiny house in the vast landscape
03/14/2009 06:06:22 PM

03/14/2009 05:00:54 PM
Magnificent view. I like the minimalism aspect of this.

This scale is nice.
03/14/2009 03:23:10 PM
Love the size comparision.. looks almost like a miniature.
03/14/2009 02:22:39 PM
What a great revelation of the smallness of the house.
03/14/2009 01:31:14 PM
good d.o.f.
03/14/2009 01:16:25 PM
The true isolationist.... 6
03/14/2009 09:46:39 AM
Excellent shot, it gives the idea of proportion to the scenary.
03/14/2009 08:09:40 AM
focus is not crisp enough
03/14/2009 08:04:08 AM
a little dark on the mountain...your house looks 3D...like it is "placed" there...but the colors are appealing
03/14/2009 07:55:28 AM
Nice highlight on house, interesting use of shadow behind it. This looks like a very nice location, but in some pretty rugged territory.
03/14/2009 06:52:36 AM
Wow. That house looks so small compared to that mountain.
03/13/2009 07:31:36 PM
Amazing! 7
03/13/2009 07:03:44 PM
Awesome landscape. Now that's a mountain!
03/13/2009 04:54:12 PM
Love the contrast of the man made object against the mountain. 7
03/13/2009 12:25:12 PM
Must be quite. Good pic.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. There, at the foot of the behemoth mountain, there rests a small and humble home. It is not large by any size but it is warm & cozy and is surrounded by a lush valley of green. When I look upon your composition that is the description that leaps out at me. I also see this as perhaps a commentary on man and nature. Man's works as represented symbolically by the house is small in comparision to the works of nature which is seen in this monster of a mountain. Put that aside the view while you were there must have been spectacular to behold - the wide open valleys and these tall, majestic soaring mountains! The ideas behind the composition are good but it could be even better if some elements in the composition itself were improved. The whole mountain in the frame would be best but then we would probably only see the house as a small speck. Not how you want to present your photo I think. Keeping with the idea of the house remaining small but visible beneath this mountain you could add more visual interest in having the mountain cut across the photo at a diagonal. Lining up the foot of the mountain to start at the bottom left the slope then travels up the diagonal to end with the 'top' of the mountain in the top right corner. The other possible way to improve the look, presentation and visual appeal is to give a slight boost to the contrast and saturation levels. NOT too much mind you, just a tad for it looks a bit washed out (at least on my monitor it does). I think the tones and contrast could be a little more richer.

Impressive mountain. We don't have them at all where I live. Love the colors.
03/13/2009 07:34:50 AM
wow, this is beautiful
03/13/2009 06:38:27 AM
wow, quite the hill behind you, provides nice leading lines to the lonely home, good eye to see this
03/13/2009 03:44:52 AM
I love how the house is totally dominated by the lanscape
03/12/2009 10:37:30 PM
What an amazing place. Is that the road in the back to get there? I'd car car sick everytime I'd go somewhere. Nice light.
03/12/2009 07:44:12 PM
Amazing contrast between the house and the mountain. The photo really gives you a feel for how massive the mountain slope is.
03/12/2009 06:45:12 PM
Great sense of scale
03/12/2009 05:13:17 PM
I love the scale of this...great shot. 8
03/12/2009 04:04:24 PM
Great subject. Nice colors and detail.
03/12/2009 01:30:30 PM
I like the unusual composition, the colors seem a bit off though....
03/12/2009 01:18:08 PM
What an amazing back yard! The setting is incredible, but could use a little bit in color and lighting dynamics.
03/12/2009 10:54:02 AM
Where is this? I want to purchase this house
03/12/2009 10:52:10 AM
Neat place to live!
03/12/2009 08:16:21 AM
Wouldn't it be neat to live there huh?
03/11/2009 08:18:44 PM

03/11/2009 05:07:30 PM
Wow. What an image! It's wonderfully composed to tell the story.

What an amazing obscure place for a house. Beautiful! Where is this?
03/11/2009 07:09:36 AM
My eyes are drawn away from the house rather than to the house.
03/11/2009 05:31:50 AM
in the middle of no where i would have put the house in the rule of thirds spot on lower left tho
03/11/2009 12:39:28 AM
Almost looks unreal...I cant imagine living with that towing over me.
03/10/2009 09:13:12 PM
Great scale, great capture, but the clouds could use a little work in terms of contrast.
