Could not resist taking a picture of my friends Grandpa's old car. It was parked in his yard after his passing in 1996 and has not moved since.

Looks like it was a really nice car in its better days.

I like the combination of color and black and white here. Interesting image. That looks like a car worth restoring. What is it? Looks like a Bugatti Tourer or something.

These cars were pretty expensive when new. Had a GM car in the middle and 30'ish luxury car added front and rear. To bad someone let it die like this

A really nice subject, great composition, nice use of selective desat.

Great shot of the neo-classic (Zimmer or Gazelle?) car, but I would have actually preferred the comp without the sign, but to each his own... still a nice image.

I love this! The car is awesome and the desat works really well here. 10 from me.

nice post processing , I would have not chosen the selective desat for this presentation. A nice b&w shot would have been great, 6

Trying to decide if I like the sign in color or not. I kinda think it might have worked better all in b/w.

Nice find. 7

It's an interesting idea, but I would have liked it much better without the sign. The car is so marvelous, I keep trying to look behind the sign. Making it colored brings it out even more when I'm wanting so much less of it. Sorry, the car's just too wonderful.

I'd like to see this one without the sign - sorry...

Maybe sign could be off center to help.
03/14/2009 01:30:22 PM
A nice old car gone to ruin. I think that would have made a good enough photo on it's own, no need to include the bright orange sign.
03/14/2009 10:20:52 AM
really hard to tell if the sign was there or popped in later. which in this case is a good thing

very interesting subject...a bit neglected

I think this shot had great merit without the sign.

Nice clear message! Nice contrasts in the B&W.

Very interesting shot, but I think it would be better with the sign not quite so prominent. The dilapidated care is wonderful, I'd love to see more of it.

The b/w portion of this shot is awesome. What an incredible car, and the setting is really moving. I also like the processing on the sign. But together the get in each other's way. The sign is too big and obstructs the car, and the car is too interesting and draws from the sign.

selective desat does not work for me here... the sign is too bright and yellow, taking away from the great car in the background
03/12/2009 08:08:53 AM
the selective saturation just makes it look fake.
03/12/2009 06:06:00 AM
Nice detail and editing. I like the story here.

The sign take to much "room" and attention in the picture.
03/11/2009 04:37:11 AM
What a beautiful car. I hope this isn't its final resting place.
03/10/2009 10:23:23 PM
