I think the DOF is good, but think it could have been improved if it was shot without the light spots in the bacground... as it is here, they compete for attention.

I think this would work better if the subject weren't right in the middle but really nice DOF.

just two from me Im sorry but its shady and dark not very sharp too ( I know there are sharp places, but the dof should be deeper for my taste)

The background lights are more distracting than helpful. Seems to lead the eye away, rather than toward the subject.

too much distracting bokeh in the background, They need to be more subtle. Your subect does not have sufficient contrast to stand out more from the background

This one came up for me after a really pretty, bright, cheerful flower - and for some reason, I prefer this quiet little thing - not as showy, not as colorful. But somehow it has an elegeance to it, and those little bokeh lights are willing to follow it, so it must be special!

The colors of the thorns are really neat and the whole thing has an interesting texture. However, I think that it is a little too much out of focus and the brightness in the left corner detracts from the picture.

It's an interesting plant but the white bokeh pulls my eye away from it ... I can't stay focused on the subject.

Very beautiful use of shallow DOF! If I were to nitpick, there are two things that come to mind. (1) the subject could use just a little more light, and (2) the OOF circles, to my mind, should be to the other side, in the same place to which the plant is leaning into. As it it, the plant is leaning away from them, and visually it doesn't work as well (for my eyes). This is just opinion :)

The focus seems soft on this shot. Would have loved to see the focus a little sharper. Also the lighter blurred background on the left of the photo seems a little distracting.

I like how the bokeh circles sem to come from the flower. a bit of sharpening, a closer crop (1/4 off the right side, 1/6 off top and off bottom for a start) and some curves and color adjustments might have made a really pretty image
