Eric, I am appalled that this photo did not get over a 6! It is absolutely gorgeous, and I could easily imagine it in a nature or travel magazine. You were completely shafted on this score. Congrats on a good effort!

Good timing and lighting. I love the silhouette and I think it was a good choice with the wide format plus the top/bottom frame because you captured a scene that is very wide with little negative space.

Technically, this is far from perfect and you've broken a lot of the rules of engagement ... but in the end it all seems to work. Among best of class.

I like the bird but I don't like what the sun is doing to the water and wing. I know you don't have much control over that. Just an observation
