 This is one of my three favourite pictures. I chose this one because, even though it's not technically all that, it reminds me of the time I took it. I had clouds, cars, moving, wild monkeys and a very steep cliff to contend with. And you will not believe what exposure I had to level it up from. This was a very very dark picture that I could have easily deleted. I merely squinted at the right place at the right time to realize that the picture wasn't blurry and neither was the composition to off.

There was a whole troop of monkeys scampering along the road and I naturally stopped to get a few pictures. This little couple caught my attention when the mum was protecting her kid from the rest of the rowdy lot.

This challenge is a free study for all intents and purposes so if I make a five I'll be happy(My track record isn't very good with them).. It's been quite few months since I've edited anything so whatever I get will be a pleasant surprise.

oh, I'm glad someone sees it right. I think I've spent the whole challenge being paranoid about this. Combined with the fact that I slouch when I edit I saw a whole different image whenever I opened any other computer..

I'll admit I'm very surprised by the score since this turned into the Monitor Calibration Fiasco of 2009 for me. So all the comments and score are much appreciated!

Very nice, I like that foggy background to keep focus on your subjects. Like humans, the little one plays while the older watches over.

Amazing capture... Lovely natural tones and beautiful composition. Still not sure how I feel about the corn - but realize it wasn't a "lure". I figure this is Falc, from his recent Japan tour (which sports some truly incredible images!). Everything you got from that shoot was phenomenal - including this shot.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments now. What a great out in the wild shot of these two monkeys! The mother does indeed have a watchful an protective look as her young one happy sits nearby munching on the corn cob oblivious to any danger that maybe nearby. The details and focus are wonderful...I can almost reach out and touch the downy softness of the fur. Now I do have one critique...I know, I know does she have to be picky!;-) The colors are good but I think that the photo could do with a little boost in contrasts. The differences in light and dark are not as dynamic as they could be for they look a little washed out. Giving it a slight boost (not too much mind you) would help make this pop visually all the more.

Ohhhhhhh. .. .my heart just melts over well done monkey photos. They are so soulful and human like. This is absolutely excellent. Definitely one of my highest rated photos!

These little monkeys are the most human like I have seen. hahah. Just darling. Good lighting and focus. The greens are great.

Focus on the monkeys is a tad soft, yet on the grass quite sharp which is a bit distracting.
