 Ah... here's a nice way to break my string of sixes. I think this will get dinged for not being photographic, which is sad because it is nothing but photographic. I shredded a tissue and draped it on a white lamp so it would be brightly backlit. I used CS3 raw conversion to auto-adjust the white balance and the exposure. Then I (ab)used channel mixer to get some color out of it. Then I rotated it and flipped it to get the composition I wanted (I'm light on top and heavy on the bottom). My sexy 100mm lens got all the detail in the weave of the tissue. Anyway, this is me: an intricate tapestry in disarray; complexly shallow; an explosion of fragility; eternity on the edge of extinction; garbage hot and bright; an outtake from the light on white challenge.

This is a case where I really wish I could have read the comments to know what you were thinking when you took this.
Your words describe exactly what your picture is - an "intricate tapestry in disarray" - and it sounds wonderful! I just somehow, visually, didn't quite get it then but wish I had scored it higher, in retrospect.

I, personally, don't like the colors, BUT I do like the textures and the shapes. I also really like that this just isn't a shot of a hobby or profession, but rather speaks to your personality and style. I suspect you are a complex individual, who marches to your own drummer and typically doesn't see things as others see them.

for me the yellow is overbearing to the design left from the chaos, but I suppose chaos in itself is overbearing.
