I went to Williams Field airport on Sat and was taking photos of the Harriers with my new Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 APO Macro II lens through the fence when one of the men that was working on them looked up and saw me. He walked over to me and in a very gruff voice asked me if that was a telephoto lens and if I had photographed the Harriers. I was afraid that I had violated some new Nation Security law and had visions of him confiscating my camera and haling me away. I sheepishly sad yes and asked if there was a problem with that. He, again in a gruff voice, said yes. After a long pauseā€¦ he said yes he was sure the fence was blocking my view and invited me in. I was allowed to photograph anything I wanted. The only rule was to not touch anything.

Post shot adjustments:
Cropped, Cloned out some light poles in the background, removed color, in Levels for RGB pulled the Right slider to the Left and the Left slider to the Right causing the Negative effect, adjusted Contrast and Brightness, Resized and applied USMask.

Hmm, wonder if this would look better in color. It must have been a bad exposure for you to want to "invert" it?

I think the levels inversion you carried out here is completely unnecessary, the original is far better. And in colour, I think this would have been a great picture.

I love the effect. Infrared? or just an inversion of B&W? 9

Did you make this a negative image?

Excellent seeing! Perfectly centered and very graphic. YOur choice to invert the black and white makes it more magical. Should score high! (And it would also be a great entry for "unusual angle."

I'd have preferred a regular colour or black and white shot instead of a negative...Technically good shot though. Here it just comes down to a question of preference.

This is very cool, one can not take their eye away from the center of your shot. I think the negative effect sets this all up well. Pretty darn good abstract too. Excellent job.

Had to invert it to have a look. Looks good either way, but the inverted colors makes a more centered impact so I'll agree with you on that choice.
