I like aspects of this photo as a candid. I would suggest that in the future you move around a bit more to eliminate (or at least place in a less distracting point in the frame) clutter like the folded umbrella which is growing out of his head. It also would have been better to get a shot when there wasn't so much smoke obscuring his face. The smoke *is* good, don't get me wrong, but it's not (generally) a good idea to obscure the face of the main subject. I do like the station wagon in the background with its hatch open. It adds a timeless feel. I'm upping my original vote by one point after having another look.

Well, the topic pretty much works, but the composition is just too haphazard for me to take the shot for much more than a snapshot at a family reunion. The noise level is also so high in this shot as to distract from most of the other content (and yes, I'm looking at the subject's left arm, shirt, and shorts to see the noise, not the sausages). And anytime such a large white spot appears in a shot, you can be assured that all attention will be dragged away from your subjects.

Would have been a good picture for "opposites" - with his shirt bearing a Heart Health logo..

A little on the gross side, but effective. I wonder how this shot would have looked from a step to the left, to get that coke umbrella out from behind his head. The heart health t-shirt is a nice ironic touch, well spotted!

Is that some "heart-healthy" logo on his shirt? ;-)

The heart on the t-shirt is a nice touch, sorta of brings the irony full circle. It would have been nice to get that unbrella out from behind him.

Yes - very good depiction of the challenge topic. Well composed with the smoke and the guy. Maybe just the umbrella in th background could have done with hiding or moving before the shot.
