A very lovely photograph made all the more engaging by the 'imperfections' (the imposition of the foreground shape, the movement blur, the various 'distractions', even the slightly cool color temp) ... these all emphasize the fact that this wonderful moment was not made for the photographer's benefit, but for joy's. Photographs that are 'perfect' are very often diminished by that flawlessness, and thus speak less honestly. Truly great photographs are never about creating moments; they're about celebrating moments. Just like this one.

| I like the "moment caught in time" feel of this. I think what hurts it is that blurred something in the foreground. You could crop it out and her movement would still ring true in the shot. Love the red sweater. |
