Congrats on your first ribbon! Nice image! ....and I am such a fan of horses doing well in DPC! I'm thinking the photographer may have been a little uncomfortable to get this shot. Lol! Well done! I love the atmosphere and action that you have captured. |

sorry to ramble here but forgot the border. it just calls more attention to the lack of real black in this image. |

congrats on super capture. I gave it a 7. would have been an 8+ if crop would have created more white in front of horse (cropping just off tail on left). a 9 or 10 if blacks would have popped more. great job. |

I like everything about the photo, though not the letterbox-style frame. A high vote from me. |

Spectacular photo, but the subject is a little cramped in the frame |

Great detail here, this is one of my favorites so far. B&W a nice choice. |

Good exposure level and excellent contrasts. Looks like a million bucks in b/w and definitely expresses action. Much more to be said but I'm sure you'll get a couple dozen comments on this. 10+ |

what a beautiful shot...I really like the splashing snow and I can almost see the lasso moving in his hand...lots and lots of motion in this shot |

A great shot...what a joy this must have been. Not only photographing this, but just witnessing horse and rider work so elegantly together in the snow! |

some might say they're in danger of riding out of the frame but I think the picture has terrific impact. Could it be the winner? |

Original and Beautiful! 10. I hope it's a ribbon. GL |

Fantastic photo with great tones, subject, and exposure (great control of the snow brightness). I think the ideal composition for this shot would have more dead space in front of the horse and rider, but that's just being picky. |
