Active children playing during break in one of Reykjavik´s primary school, Austurbæjarskóli. Schoolkids are always active so that was an obvious choice for me when I saw the challenges for the week.
Lightroom mostly, general punch, brightness, contrast, tone curve, tiny rotation and resizing, exported to PS: levels, curves, spot healing brush tool, hue/saturation, little bit of dodge and burn, resize, USM and frame, before saving for the web.

PostLuminous Award WINNER!
I knew as soon as I saw this that it transcends any challenge theme--Superb!
tones, textures, color, composition, slight tilt, subject--all combine perfectly. So very well done. |

This shot deserved way more credit. This is a fricken outstanding capture and you should be very proud of it. I could go on and on but it would go over many members heads!

It's great how the kids stand out against the drab background. They look like they're having fun too. |

Easily the best. How could there be a better 'action' photograph than this great picture of some kids delighting in the pure joy of movement for the sake of it? Not going anywhere; not doing some tedious bloody sport; just jumping because it's the most wonderful fun-to-be-alive thing for a group of young friends to do. The fact that it's happening before this sombre institutional backdrop makes it all the more wonderful. 10. And an Order of the Thumb:

Nice picture but I don't think it really conveys the topic. |

Very fun, very real, and love the burst of color against the monochrome. |

And the colors are not dull either. Very sharp and vivid. Tells a story on its own and the background plus tilted appearance is suitable.
This is much more than a family type picture to me. 8 |
