Just did this out of interest to see how the shot would turn out. It's in the middle of a mostly dry lake about 20 km wide, called lake George. They use it to graze animals when it is dry, hence the fence.

I like the simplicity, but it's a bit hard to tell it's a fence without the title, possible if the first pole were closer to the camera.

The image is great. I'd reconsider the clunky border.

cool. not sure how well it will do in this challenge, but makes a very nice photo nonetheless. If this were mine, I'd try burning those mountains in the background right down to shadows which would really punctuate the field and separate the sky.
good luck,
Pedro

Great colors and details. In not a fan of the current perspective of the fence. Might look better if it was from a 3/4 perspective or something with more substance. This is like looking at a sheet of paper from the side.

I would like to see the posts breaking the horizon line. I think it would give it a little more perspective. But it would also cut out the dead center horizon split. I like how it is a cross, the center being the center of the image.

nice ideea to centre it on two directions but the fence is almost invisible...if you didn't mention i wouldn't knew was a fence

I'd like this more if there were something vaguely visible near the extreme end of the fence, and/or with less sky.

would have been cooler if the fence angle was ever so slightly at an angle, to show more perspective. Cool pic though, I love the open space. Where was this taken?

Good idea... Strong photo. I thing the only thing I changed if I could was taking the shot fron a lower point of view making the stick pointin to the sky and making it above the horizon level. But I loved it.

Nice approach to the challenge - and kind of works. Fence is a touch too insignificant in the image though: perhaps if you'd been able to make more of it's shadow ... Good perspective work, no lens distortion that registers with me, and that helps carry of the regularity of the composition very well. 6

nice shot. really does seem pointless to have a fence there!

Great composition! It's always inspiring to see a great image that's so simple. Very well done.
