 Just to prove I don't need to HDR to get a good final result this is the same boat but using a single exposure and a bit of fill in flash. In truth I didn't quite nail it because as you can see there is a little burn out in the light on the side of the boat. Had I more time I'd have packed my SB800 because the SB600 that I used for this wasn't quite powerful enough to balance the exposure properly. To my mind though it still turned out well.

It looks like a great shot. I like to browse the recently uploaded photos and yours stood out. I love the blue of the sky, the character of the clouds, and the gold tones from the low sun. I like the composition of the boat with its reflection in the water. I joined DPC to get inspiration and your photo does that for me. Great shot.
