Baloon is suspended by a thin thread over two pocketknives, a leatherman, and a knife. My goal was to give a sense of obliviousness and the pressence of sure doom. I'm not sure why.

I can relate...it's good to know you are not alone...besides the pick of habit. The photo is very well done...love the color contrast. As well as the imagery.

Always smiling (perpetual cheerfulness, good nature) isn't a habit so much as a personality trait. I guess there are some instances where constant smiling would become a habit (beauty contestants, game show hosts?) but it is really stretching the idea of a habit. Interesting idea. I don't care much for the execution. One knife or blade might have been sufficient. This is a bit of overkill.

Nice idea. Better lighting would have helped a great deal.

Distrubing image, but the flash was not the right lighting for this. A bounce off the cieling would have created more interesting shadows, and made the image clearer.

Great idea. I'm not crazy about the lighting though as it seems somewhat harsh. I think the reflections throughout the photo detract a little fomr the overall effect.

Ha, very funny. I love the concept. I wish you'd managed to keep the harsh lights to the side, so they didn't distract from the smileyface.

Good Original Idea. Nice work with the lighting too. Good sharpness. not really a habit though but at least you didn't take a picture of a person smoking or biting nails. - 7
