 I have been wanting to rework my entry for "Dichotomy" last summer for quite a while. I liked the concept but the quality of the photo itself bugged me. My friend visited Austin to shoot with me and he wanted to shave off half his beard and after some more tweaking and makeup this is what we came up with. I am very happy with this as it is pretty unsettling. The interesting thing about this shot is that I didn't really edit it very much at all. I cloned out some minor imperfections on the clean side of his face and straightened the part in his hair a bit, but the effect of shadows on the left side were done with makeup and BW conversion. I didn't want a sharp line down the picture so I made sure the BW conversion made the division line clear without being a sharp line.

YES! I love it when people get others to do crazy things like this. Did you make him walk around the mall like this after the shoot? That is awesome...10 from me.

Interesting and nicely done! One small problem. the line that runs from where the hair ends at the base of the neck on the left to the bootom centre of the frame needs to be blurred a bit nore, I think.
