Thanks all for the nice comments. I do get that the horizon isn't tilted technically, but wanted to do something a bit unique for the challenge. And, due to the "no healing brush" rule, I couldn't clean up the raw edge of the posterboard against the background.
Setup shot is at //www.woodstonephoto.com/blog/2009/02/tilt.html if anyone's interested. I incidentally used the glass-on-a-pole as a beverage scepter for Mardi Gras. :) |

those people who said you didn't have a tilted horizon can stuff it! you did! you just straightened it! The white on white on white really brings out the contrast of the glass. Well played. |

A rather dull shot enhanced by the tilt. |

Can't wait to read on how this was done. Simple, but a perfect match for the challenge. |

I had this type of idea as well, but I was afraid that people would score it down because the horizon in the picture isn't tilted. I hope you're not having that problem! |

Instead of photographing a horizon in a tilted manner, you have, instead, literally tilted the horizon point and photographed it, good thinking! I like it! |

What a wonderful shot...I love the bubble at the base of the glass. It adds a great element to the shot. |

This is a wonderful photo. I don't know how you did it. The horizon is definitely straight but not the horizon in the glass. Very creative. |

Clever shot...pity the horizon's not tilted. |

This just has to finish in the top 10 if not ribbon. VERY clever. Great execution with the lighting, shadows, reflection, milk consistency. Love the gradient background. Just a tiny bit of roughness on the "horizon". My first 10 for this challenge. |

just the image to debate over where the horizon really is. Doesn't really matter to me. Shot nicely captured, lighting is good. 6 |
