Well, I told you I'd get a little more creative than a family snapshot this week, didn't I ?? :)

This was taken at what they call the "Valentine's Day Massacre". A big festival put on by different motorcycle groups all over the state. One of them participates to raise funds for my sister's non-profit organization that uses horse therapy to improve the quality of life for autistic and disabled children. Most of the people look alot like this gentleman, but I tell you, there are a lot of BIIIIIIIG compassionate hearts in that bunch of rough and tough teddy bears! And alot of people who are as rah-rah for Jesus as anyone (maybe more) that you'd see in most churches on Sunday morning. Like this fellow. I love that, and you know what? I think if Jesus walked the earth today, he would be deLIGHTED to hang out at the Vanentine's Day Massacre with friends of his like this :)

Here's another one of him giving me his "Sunday Best" portrait pose :)

Great story to go with the photo. I like how he's moving his hair to show the tattoo. I'm guessing that he got it a long time ago and it's still important to him. You've got a great (and heart) for capturing people.

Very sharp and clean and a neat look at a very interesting fellow! I get the feeling he probably really is a sweetie.

Oh wow Sandy this is about as far from a family snapshot as I could imagine! and fabulous, I might add. I agree that they eyes are mesmerizing, but I also think the pose is killer, and the source of the pose ie the showing off of that spiderweb tattoo.

I love the composition here. You really got so much of interest, but still his eyes really pull me in. Wonderful!

Nice story to go along with the terrific portrait. The cigarette in his hands adds to the description of who he is (in a good way).

I dig the beard. Good on you for not taking him at face value!

Love this, and thanks for all the info! You absolutely MUST try this with a nice contrasty B&W as well! Think it'd be awesome.

Cool portrait, although I find myself thinking "OUCH! It must've hurt to get a tattoo so close to his eye."
