 Just playing around in photoshop to see what I could come up with. This started as a macro of an orange slice, backlit to show all the individual juice cells. From there I started using layers to play with the luminosity,lighting,colors....I also used the air brush to add more popping colors around the outer rim and used the sharpen tool in a few areas.

Very cool picture. I would like to see what post processing was done to achieve this affect.
