I set my camera to auto exposure bracketing (AEB), set the exposures to 2 stops apart and set to 6.5 frames per second. The camera then takes 3 separate shots (above)

I used photomatix to open the 3 raw files, no editing on them at all, using the Generate HDR image option. I ticked align source images by matching features (as this will try to correct for horizontal, vertical and rotational shifts which is essential if you are hand holding the camera for the 3 shots. Ticked attempt to reduce ghosting.

Into tone mapping, set preset to default settings, then increased white point, gamma and black point a bit. Increased strength (which is unusual as normally I decrease the strength to make it more normal) and set the ligth smoothing to medium high (which also helps it look more "normal")

Processed and opened in CS3 and applied a curves layer, maybe a levels layer but only pretty weak.
These are the originals

Very nice capture and control of the light but for me it a bit too "busy" compositionally. I'm not sure where my eye should go as the image seems to dead-end at the fence line for me.

A pretty serene walk....
Very nice HDR technique. You did well to bring back the details in the bright spots. I wonder if a bit of 'sponge' to reduce the pinkish green spot in the lower middle section of the image.

This looks pretty good for HDR except the middle ground area appears over sharpened which is an effect derived from HDR generation. I just don't like the way HDR scenics come out, they're very unnatural-looking IMOH.

Absolutely stunning! I just love the neverending textures. I would really try and do something about the purple flare. I can't not see it.

That is absolutely gorgeous. Looks like a trail you could chase a rabbit down in the dead of winter. It feels like there is a story to be told about this - a warm, happy tale. Not even a nitpick with this one - even the purple glare in the center foreground fits in nicely and adds to the depth of the shot.

I really like this...most people that do HDR push things to far...yours seems very well balanced, did you do anything with levels on any of the 3 photos...did you use bracketing or did you just shoot away?

Pretty nice. I d love to see the 3 originals. Never tried this technique. I v also heard that one may use some DNG filters for the same effect.
