This is Gladys. She's a wonderful, kind and sweet 8 pound Yorkie. She's 13 years old and is starting to show her age. She lost her hearing about 6 months ago so isn't the same spunky girl she used to be. Her sight isn't so hot any more either. She had a bath for the shoot but I guess her stylist was out sick.
This was shot on a small end table to keep her in one place. It's in a corner to keep the background simple with the superwide lens. There are two speedlights through shoot-through umbrellas at 45 degrees on both sides.

Camera Raw: exposure, sharpen, colors-hue-saturation-luminance, clarity, curves
CS4: sharpen, curves, selective color to neutralize greenish walls and get separation between pup and background, contrast, selective desaturation, border, save for web |

Hmmm, it is a portrait, and the lighting doesn't look to bad, howwever the closeup wideangle nature of the photo is not exactly creating an attractive photo of your loved one.
A little more attention to the background and cropping would have helped your score too. |
