 End....or is it the beginning....no it is the end of a ball of string. Shot a few different versions. I really liked another more but that one said string more than end and this one really focuses on the end.

Shot with camera on tripod using the cable remote release.

Post: Camera Raw Adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Slight CCW rotation. Lots of crops for composition. Rotate 90° left. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. New layer of levels and layer of gradient map converting to greyscale. Open the levels dialog and adjusted each of the Red, Green and Blue channels. Flatten. Adjust sharpness. Resize. USM.

I think this photo would have worked better for "Begin" seeing as it's the begininng of the unwinding of the ball of string. I do like the contrast, the focus on the string in the front and the blur of the ball in the background. It's a very nice picture in all, it just doesn't fit the challenge for me.
